Course Syllabus

Class Description: This is the first math course on arithmetic. Students will learn the number system and four important operations on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in this course. The important rules of finding answers as positive or negative after the four operations known assigned numbers will be given in a repetitive manner so that the retention of the knowledge will be permanent. A student who has a solid foundation and knowledge on number system along with the operations to the numbers is ready to move on to the Prealgebra course without any difficulty. Printed notes are especially useful for the students who want to have good retention on the concepts and working skills. 

Resources: All the sections and subsections have short videos and printable worksheets, which are useful for students’ retentions on the topic delivered to them and keeping appropriate connections among the chapters. Students have both the online multiple choices questions and free-response questions. Monthly reports and improvements are recorded and shared with the parents and students upon request.  

Computer and Phone Access: Students will have access to the class both on a computer and on a phone. There are apps available on the phone for free to take pictures and convert them to a single pdf and upload in the site for grading in some cases. 

Practice exam and quizzes: 

Students are able to work on this course at their own pace. The course material is aligned to the students taking classes in their schools. So this course will be an excellent companion course for better understanding better preparation with strength and confidence. After completion of each section, students are encouraged to take the quiz and chapter exam. Quizzes and chapter exam scores will show your readiness for the class and prepare for the next topic.
